LEESVILLE, La. (KALB News Channel 5) - Leesville's annual cleanup week starts April 8th.
Neighbors are encouraged to clean their properties and the city will offer a helping hand.
The city will pick up tree limbs, boards, old furniture/appliances and paint products.
Cleanup week will conclude with the spring trash bash on Saturday, when kids from local school and civic groups will participate in a trash collecting competition.
"They will be assigned streets, they will go out and pick up trash. The top collector will receive a prize of $100, $75 for second place and $50 for third. We also give out door prizes and there were also be lunch," said Alice Eddington, with the city of Leesville.
