Yet another splendid day around central Louisiana.
The day began cooler than typical as we approach the middle of April. Morning lows ranged from the lower 40s to the middle 50s. Winnfield fell to 42 degrees with Oakdale, Anacoco, and Esler Airport at 44. In contrast, Bellwood and Hagewood stayed up at 54 degrees. The daily average is 53 and the record is 32 in 2003.
Ample sunshine and a steady south wind once again turned temperatures around 30-40 degrees from the morning low to the afternoon high. Winnfield hit 82, with Many, Hagewood, and Anacoco at 81. Opelousas was the cool spot with 75. The daily average is 77 and the record is 90 in 2011.
Clouds will increase Friday but the day will still be comfortable.
