FREEZE WARNING In Effect for Cenla

Here is a complete list of Warnings & Advisories that are in effect for Central Louisiana.

The NWS offices in Lake Charles & Jackson has issued a FREEZE WARNING for:
Rapides, Avoyelles, Concordia & Catahoula Parishes and Adams & Jefferson County.

A Freeze Warning goes into effect as soon as 1am through 9am. A Freeze Warning means that Sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or highly likely. People should take measures to protect plans by covering them or bringing them inside. Also, pets should be protected or moved indoors.
Impacts: Low Temperatures will range from 28-35. 
Clear skies, coupled with calming winds will lead to damaging frost formation. Tender and unprotected vegetation could be seriously damaged. Outdoor Pets accustomed to warmer "Spring-like" conditions could be adversely affected by this late-season Cold Snap.
Be careful heating your home. Space heaters need to be kept at least 36 inches away from anything that can burn. TURN IT OFF when you leave the room or go to bed.

The NWS offices in Lake Charles has issued a Frost Advisory for:
Vernon, Allen, Evangeline & St. Landry Parishes.

This advisory will be in effect from 4am to 9am.

Temperatures will range from 32-36 degrees and conditions may become conducive for the formation of FROST. 

Tender vegetation may be damaged if left unprotected. and precautionary actions are advised. This advisory means that frost is possible and sensitive, outdoor plants may be killed or severely damaged if left uncovered.
