Avoyelles Parish School Board to accept Minority-to-Majority apps

AVOYELLES PARISH, La. (KALB News Channel 5) - The Avoyelles Parish School Board announced they will begin accepting application for Minority-to-Majority transfers beginning May 1, 2014.

The deadline for submitting your child's application will be June 3, 2014.

Applications may be obtained from any elementary or high school in the parish, the APSB Central Office, or downloaded from the APSB website www.avoyellespsb.com. 

No applications will be accepted after the deadline.

To qualify, the student's race must be in the majority at the home zoned school and in the minority at the requested school.
