Paradise Elementary enacts "No Parking" Zone

Posted: Updated:

BALL, La. (KALB News Channel 5) - Due to an effort between the Ball Police Department and the Louisiana Department of Transportation Department, a "No Parking" zone has been established on the shoulder of Highway 165 at the entrance to Paradise School.

The zone was constructed in order for traffic to enter the school property with as little congestion as possible. In the past, several crashes have occurred as a result of vehicles not being able to use the entire driveway to enter the school grounds.

BPD asks that vehicles parking on the shoulder of the roadway stop on the shoulder of the highway prior to entering the "No Parking" zone.

BPD asks vehicles to advance to the driveway of the school once there is sufficient space to park your vehicle outside of the "No Parking" zone.

Although this is only a minor solution to the traffic congestion at Paradise School, the Ball Police Department thanks the public for assisting in this matter.

For questions or compliments, please contact the Ball Police Department at 318-640-4673.
