ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB News Channel 5) - The Cenla Indian Community presents a traditional Indian celebration for the public.

The 3K walk/run begins at 11 a.m. at Tamp & Grind Coffee Shop in downtown Alexandria on Saturday, May 3, and the Holi celebration runs until 3 p.m.

Registration for the 3K is $100 for a team of four, or $30 for an individual. Those prices increase after April 22. You can register at Tamp & Grind, Red River Bank, or Rapides Children Advocacy Center.

However, the celebration is free for all, and Indian cuisine is available for $5.

In addition to the 3K, there will be music, dancing, henna tattoos and the traditional Holi "colors" (provided).
