ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB News Channel 5) - Some young adults got the chance to look for a job. It was the 7th Annual Community-wide Youth Job Fair. The event is sponsored by several area groups including the cities of Alexandria and Pineville. More than 30 employers offered opportunities to youth from 16 to 25 years-old. Organizers say that the event is great for the youth for multiple reasons. “I think it's very advantageous to put them all here, so the young adults can see what jobs are available. They can get some experience with talking to employers. So it's a plus for all of them,” said Elaine Morace, director of the Rapides BCSC. Rapides Business and Career Solutions Center, the Workforce Commission, and Learning Center for Rapides Parish all also sponsored the event.
