U-Haul Open for Business in Fernandina Beach, Florida.

The 50,625 square foot metal building is situated on 5.85 acres. The building consists of 22,630 square feet of mezzanine space, 23,820 square feet of vacant retail space to be used for U-Box pods, 38,553 net rentable square feet of storage with 262 interior self-storage rooms, of which 137 are in the mezzanine...and 43 RV parking spaces.

While there is work to be done to add the services and ensure that this location is everything a customer has come to expect from a U-Haul store, U-Haul Moving and Storage of Fernandina Beach is open for business. Marketing Company President, Ed Hatcher, commented, "I look forward to serving the community and building relationships with local businesses."

The opening of this facility is driven by U-Haul Company's Corporate Sustainability initiatives: U-Haul supports infill development to help local communities lower their carbon footprint. Our adaptive reuse of existing buildings eliminates the amount of energy and resources required for new-construction materials and helps local cities diminish their unwanted inventory of unused buildings.

U-Haul Moving and Storage of Fernandina Beach will offer the community of Fernandina Beach more convenience with the addition of this location. The center will offer a full line of truck, trailer and U-Box rentals. Early plans determined that this center also will carry U-Box portable storage trailers and warehouse. The center will also offer drive-in, interior boat and RV storage and Hatcher also discussed the addition of adding hitch sales and installations in the coming months.
