Traffic stops lead to arrests by GPSO

GRANT PARISH, La. (KALB News Channel 5) Bentley, Pollock residents arrested after Grant Parish Sheriff's Deputies conducted two traffic stops.

The Grant Parish Sheriff's Office said Rigsby Simmons, 27, of Sherman Laird Road in Bentley, was charged with Possession of CDS III, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign. Deputies conducted a search on the vehicle and found prescription pills, a glass smoking pipe, a plastic straw with a white powdered substance and a set of digital scales.  

During a separate traffic stop, Dustin Coleman, 27, of Coleman Road in Pollock, was charged with Felony Theft, Simple Criminal Damage to Property, and Suspended Driver’s License. GPSO said a deputy conducted the stop for no license plate and discovered a number of stolen items in the vehicle.
