NPSO Deputies arrest suspect in burglary

NATCHITOCHES, La. (KALB News Channel 5) Natchitoches man arrested in connection with April burglary.

Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies have arrested a man in connection with a burglary at a residence near Natchitoches. 

Detectives began investigating the burglary on April 25. NPSO said detectives learned over $5,000 worth of jewelry was taken, and some of it had been sold in the Shreveport and Bossier City areas.

Detectives identified John Kendall Patrick Medlock, 20, of 400 New Roads Rd., Natchitoches, La. as a suspect. Detectives said they detained Medlock on May 6, and he confessed to the burglary during an interview.

NPSO charged John Kendall Patrick Medlock with one count of Simple Burglary and booked him into the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center. NPSO said Medlock is on felony probation until 2019 in Arkansas due to a prior burglary conviction.
NPSO said other charges are pending in Caddo and Bossier Parishes, and they will be able to recover some of the stolen jewelry.
