New Cenla grocery stores confirmed

RAPIDES PARISH, La. (KALB News Channel 5) - Walmart has confirmed that two Neighborhood Markets will be coming to Rapides Parish. One will be in Alexandria, and the other in Pineville.

In an email, Anne Hatfield, the Director of Communications for Walmart, wrote:

Responding to our customers’ needs for convenient access and a broad selection of fresh and affordable grocery products, Walmart will a 41,000 square foot Neighborhood Market to Pineville and Alexandria, Louisiana.

Our Neighborhood Market stores give our customers quick and easy access to a wide variety of affordable products – fresh produce, a full grocery department with a bakery and deli, a drive-thru pharmacy with our popular $4 generic prescriptions, health and beauty supplies, select household items, plus a gas station.

Neighbor Market also give customers access to items online through our Site to Store service, which makes all of the merchandise of Walmart.com available for purchase and delivered for free right to your hometown store. You can even choose the Pay With Cash option online and, just like it sounds, pay for those items with cash once they arrive at your store.

We are excited to bring Neighborhood Market store to Pineville and Alexandra and provide our customers there the benefits of a Walmart closer to where they live. Both stores are scheduled to open in early 2015.
