The central Louisiana weather pattern remained consistent as the work-week ended today.
As has been the case lately, the mornings remain pleasant despite areas of fog. Winnfield dropped to 58 degrees this morning with Oakdale and Jena reporting 60. Hagewood was the warm spot with 67 followed by Marksville with 66. The 30-year daily average is 65 and the record is 50 in 1954.
Highs clouds moved over central Louisiana from the southwest during the afternoon. This kept thermometers from climbing as high as Thursday's readings. However, Bellwood, Hagewood, and Simpson were still able to reach 90 degrees. Pitkin was the cool spot with 85 degrees.
Little change is expected through the Memorial Day weekend.
