Two Suspects Arrested In Louisiana Avenue Shooting

ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB News Channel 5) - On May, 27, 2014, at approximately 8:30 p.m., officers with the Alexandria Police Department were patrolling the Kelly and Day Street area when they heard several gun shots coming from Louisiana Street. 

When the officers went to investigate, they observed a white SUV leaving the area, according to APD. 

Witnesses from the crowd pointed to the vehicle yelling, “They were involved”. The officers stopped the vehicle and apprehended several suspects. 

APD reported they learned three victims had been shot and were in need of medical attention. Acadian Ambulance and Alexandria Fire Department were called to assist. 

The victims were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Injured in the incident were Antonio Christian, 25, Logan Christian, 38, and Quantrella Turner 28, all of Alexandria. Both Antonio and Logan were in serious but stable condition at the time of this report. 

Turner died from her injuries.

Lajavas Hall, 21, of Alexandria was charged with 2 cts attempted 1st degree murder and 1ct 1st degree murder.

Cinquanta Hall, 25, of Alexandria was charged with 1ct of manslaughter.

This incident is still under investigation.

ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB News Channel 5) - One person is dead and two more are in serious but stable condition after a fatal shooting incident in Alexandria Tuesday night.

According to APD, officers were patrolling the area of Louisiana Avenue and Day Street when they heard gunshots. They stopped a vehicle that was leaving the scene and detained several suspects.

21-year old Lajavas Hall has been charged with two counts of attempted first degree murder and one count first degree murder.  Another suspect, 25-year-old Cinquanta hall, has been charged with one count of manslaughter.
