Brittany Bedi joined the KALB news team in May 2014 as a meteorologist and multimedia journalist.

Brittany was born and raised in Tampa, Florida. She grew up experiencing heat, humidity, hurricanes, and thunderstorms. Ever since she was a child, she was interested in earth sciences and aspired to be a meteorologist.

Brittany attended the Florida State University in Tallahassee and graduated in August 2013. During her time in college, she was part of the Women in Math, Science and Engineering  program at FSU and worked as a mentor for it.  Her television experience began in 2010 as a student meteorologist for the student-produced television show, FSU Weather. She worked as a team leader for the show during her senior year. Brittany spent the summer of 2013 on morning and noon newscasts as a forecaster at WTXL in Tallahassee, Florida.

When she’s not forecasting weather, Brittany enjoys listening to music, painting, shopping, and cheering on her Florida State Seminoles.

Brittany is happy to be in Alexandria and is looking forward to learning more about Central Louisiana.
