GPSO: Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrests

ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB News Channel 5) -- The Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested two for crystal methamphetamine after a traffic stop. 

Kenneth Whatley, 28 years old, of Pollock, was arrested for Possession of CDS II (crystal methamphetamine) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. 

Kristen Tyler, 27 years old, of Pineville, was arrested for Possession of CDS II (crystal methamphetamine), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Misrepresentation During Booking, Resisting an Officer, Contempt of Court, and a Fugitive warrant. 

Deputies discovered methamphetamine and syringes that are typically used in the use of narcotics on Whatley and Tyler.  After Tyler was arrested, it was discovered that she had given deputies someone else’s name and information.
