NEW YORK, NY, June 10, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jesse Saperstein did not experience many breaks growing up with an undiagnosed case of Asperger's syndrome throughout the 1990s. His uniqueness was often mocked and vilified by his peers. Benign eccentricities were also an open invitation for bullying that marred his childhood. As a thirty-two-year-old adult, Saperstein has found unusual success as a published author with Penguin Group (USA), but the memories linger. The message he gives to the public is, "Most people are not able to forget or let go. And we cannot wait until it eventually gets better..."

Saperstein has an unusual anti-bullying message that is also serving as a public service announcement for New York Blood Center (NYBC). He has allowed NYBC to hook himself up to a red blood cell machine while simultaneously delivering an anti-bullying message. His intentions are to bring awareness to the uniqueness of young people living with challenges whose qualities are often unappreciated by their classmates. As Saperstein gives an eloquent speech with a needle in his arm, society will hopefully take another look at youths who are misunderstood or living with special needs. Aside from raising awareness about the lifelong effects of bullying, his message will hopefully replenish our nation's often anemic blood supply and cater to the spirit of American volunteerism.

Jesse Saperstein's second memoir, "Getting a Life with Asperger's" is scheduled to be released on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 by Penguin Group (USA). His work has received public acclaim from Sigourney Weaver, Dr. Temple Grandin, and Tony Award-winner Rupert Holmes.
