Posted: Updated:

(NBC) U.S. safety regulators are questioning the safety of more than one million vehicle air bags.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says it's looking into whether 1-point-1-million vehicles from five automakers have air bags that could hurt people. The probes was launched after six reports of air bags rupturing in a crash.
Vehicles from the 2002 through 2006 model years made by Honda, Nissan, Mazda, Chrysler and Toyota are being investigated.
