APD: Narcotics Arrest

ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB News Channel 5)-- On June 13, 2014, Alexandria Police arrested Kevin Pearson, 40 of Alexandria.

While on patrol in the 600 Block of Williamson Street, officers spotted a subject later identified as Person standing under a carport of a residence in that area, holding something in his hands. 

Officers then heard someone yell, causing Pearson to look at the Officers and throw what he was holding in his hands down. 

Officers stopped to make contact with Pearson.

The investigation found that what Pearson had thrown to the ground was suspected marijuana. Officers also found suspected Crack Cocaine. 

Kevin Pearson was arrested and taken to the Rapides Parish Detention Center for booking.

Pearson is charged with 1 count Possession/Distribution CDS Sch I Narcotics and 1 count Possession/Distribution CDS Sch II Narcotics. 

The street value of suspected narcotics seized was approximately $884.
