PINEVILLE, La. (KALB News Channel 5) -- On June 16, 2014, Rapides Parish Deputies responded to a report of a burglary of some storage buildings located on Highway 28 East in Pineville, La. Detectives from the Tioga Sub-Station also responded.

Tioga Detectives investigated and developed a suspect and a location where items of this burglary were possibly taken.

A search warrant was obtained and executed at a building in the 1900 block of Jackson Street in Alexandria. Stolen items from the burglary at the storage buildings were located in the search along with other stolen items from another burglary in Rapides Parish.

Jesse Warren and Jada McGinty were arrested at this location.

Warren was arrested for 2 counts of Simple Burglary, 1 count of Possession of Stolen Property, 1 count of Resisting Arrest and 1 count of Possession of Marijuana.

McGinty was arrested for 1 count of Possession of Stolen Property.

During the search, Detectives developed information which led to an address in Grant Parish where other stolen property might be located. RPSO Detectives, along with deputies from the Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office, responded to the 900 block of 7th Street in Colfax. Detectives located several other stolen items from reported burglaries in Rapides Parish.

Criminal charges are pending with the Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office from the Colfax residence. The investigation is ongoing and more arrests are pending. Warren is being held on a $9,250 bond and McGinty was released on a $2,500 bond.

“I want to commend RPSO Detectives and Patrol Division and the Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office for their work on this case. They worked late into the night last night to bring all of this together. This shows you criminal activity knows no boundaries. We are combating the same criminal element that steals your property” said Sheriff William Earl Hilton.
