APD: Man Arrested for Aggravated Flight

ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB News Channel 5) -- Alexandria Police arrested a man after he fled from a traffic stop.

On June 16, 2014 Alexandria Police arrested Tori Wesley, 36 of Pineville, and charged him with: 1count Aggravated Flight from Officer, 1count Resisting an Officer, 1count Simple Escape, 1count No Insurance, 1count Improper Lane Usage, and 1 count No Drivers License.

APD Officers stopped Wesley in the Lee & Overton Street area after observing the vehicle he was operating commit a traffic violation.

During the stop, Wesley fled, leading Officers on a pursuit into Pineville, ending up on Hillcrest Drive and Hillcrest Blvd. Once he stopped the vehicle, Wesley fled on foot.

He was later taken into custody after being found hiding under a shed in the 40 Block of Hillcrest Drive.

Wesley was taken to the Rapides Parish Detention Center for Booking.
