RPSO: Arrest Made for Stolen Eighteen Wheeler Wheels

(KALB News Channel 5) -- A 66 year old man from McNary has been arrested and charged with stealing four eighteen wheeler wheels.

On June 4th 2014, Deputies responded to a report of theft in the at 8100 block of LA Hwy 28 W. Alexandria, LA. 

Deputies listed four eighteen wheeler wheels as being stolen with no obvious suspects. 

During the investigation, Detectives were able to locate four eighteen wheeler wheels at a local scrap metal company that matched those taken in the theft. Detectives also developed the names of two suspects as a result of this transaction. 

Detectives obtained warrants for the arrest of the suspects, identified as Lenot D. Simmons and Brandon Robbie Walker. 

On June 20th, Lenot Simmons, 66 of McNary, was taken into custody by Detectives and booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center for 1 count of Theft greater than $1500. 

The Grant Parish Sheriffs’ Office, in an unrelated case, arrested Brandon Robbie Walker on June 13th, and he is currently being held in their facility with pending charges in Rapides Parish for trespassing and theft. 

Simmons remains in the Rapides Parish Detention Center on a $1500 bond.
