Baton Rouge woman taken by boyfriend

BATON ROUGE, La. (KALB News Channel 5) -- East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s deputies are looking for a woman taken on June 23, 2014 by her ex-boyfriend, after he broke into her home early that morning.

According to reports, Jeremiah Rodriguez, 44, allegedly broke into the home of his ex-girlfriend early in the morning on June 23rd. He held 33-year-old Viscaacuba James and her three children and two cousins at gunpoint before leaving the residence with James at noon. Rodriguez is reportedly driving a silver 2001 Chrysler Concord. He may be headed to the New Orleans area. Rodriguez is considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information as to Rodriguez or James’s whereabouts is asked to contact law enforcement immediately. The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office can be contacted at (225) 389-5073 or Crime Stoppers at (225) 344-STOP.
