APD arrests man in Olga Street theft

ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB News Channel 5) - On June 26, 2014, Alexandria Police arrested Brandon Allison, 31, of Alexandria and charged him with one count Possession of Stolen Things over $1500.00 and two counts Theft under $500.00.

On June 23, 2014, APD Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 3300 Block of Olga Street in reference to a theft. The complainant reported he had several lawn care items and tools stolen from the residence.

The investigation found that the complainant located some of his items at two local pawn shops in Alexandria. Following the execution of a search warrant, evidence was discovered linking Allison to the theft.

Allison was arrested on a warrant listing the above charges while at the Rapides Parish Detention Center where he was being detained on unrelated charges.

Allison had 33 bookings in the Rapides Parish System, according to APD. 

This incident is still under investigation and no other details are being released at this time.
