SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KALB News Channel 5)- Northwestern State senior sprinter Justin Walker was third fastest this evening in the 100 meter dash semifinal round at the USA Track and Field Outdoor Championships in Sacramento, advancing him to the 8:52 p.m. PST (10:52 CST) eight-man final.
His 10.06 time came in heat one, and placed him third in that heat. There was a 2.4 mph tailwind. The top four runners in each heat advanced to the final.
Walker runs in the opening round of the 200 tomorrow afternoon, hoping to reach Sunday’s semis and final in that event.
Internet and network television coverage will be available throughout the meet. All events will be webcast on USATF.tv while Friday’s races will be on NBCSN from 9-11 p.m. CST, and live on NBC Saturday from 3-5 p.m. and on Sunday from 3-5, after an opening hour 1-2 on Universal Sports.
