Pineville police make arrest in LC theft

PINEVILLE, La. (KALB News Channel 5) - On May 29, 2014 The Pineville Police Department arrested Dominic Jamal Graham, 24, of Pineville for five counts of Simple Burglary.

On May 29, 2014 at 2:30 a.m. Pineville Police Department received a report from Louisiana College Security Officer of a suspicious vehicle backed up to the Weathersby Fine Arts Building unoccupied with the trunk open, according to PPD.

While looking around the building the security officer observed a subject run to the vehicle and leave before he was able to make contact with him. The Security Officer was able to take a picture of the vehicle and license plate.

At 4:30a.m., the security officer discovered that someone had entered the building and forcibly entered a locked classroom. 

The security officer found multiple computers, with keyboards and mouse controllers taken from the classroom and placed by a door exiting the building, leading to where the suspicious vehicle was parked outside earlier.

The Pineville Police Department was able to obtain information that Mr. Graham was the owner of the vehicle. Contact was made with Mr. Graham and it was discovered that during March 2014 on four other occasions he had committed burglaries at other buildings on the campus of Louisiana College. Taken during the other burglaries were televisions, computers and a digital camera.
