Every Thursday in July Paragon will feature an artist in the Mari Showroom. Doors open at 7 pm and show begins at 8 pm each night. Tickets are $10 per show or if you purchase before July 3rd you can pay one price for all five shows for $35, a total savings of $15. Tickets are on sale now.

Schedule is as follows:

Thursday, July 3 - New Orleans five piece party cover band, The Chee Weez, will rock the party out playing some of the best pop/rock songs from artists such as The Rolling Stones, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Journey and Rascal Flats. They highlight pop/rock hits from the 1970’s through today. They’ll visually and musically entertain the audience as part of their skits involves radical make-up and hilarious costumes featuring superheroes, patriotic and sport themes. Get ready for an energetic group with lots of crowd involvement, pyro and lights!

Thursday, July 10-J Paul, Jr and the Zydeco Nubreeds featuring Cupid will perform zydeco and R&B Hits. J Paul, Jr. and his band, the Zydeco Nubreeds, started to make their mark on the music scene not long after frontman Paul pulled the band together in his native Houston in 1995. Three years later, he and the Nubreedz were named Best Newcomer of the Year and took home the Clifton Chenier Music Award. Cupid delivers a variety of R&B soul, country-blues and hip-hop wrapped up into a melting pot collaboration of dance music. His music style is evident in his hit single, “The Cupid Shuffle,” which is probably the most popular line dance and wedding song of this decade.

Thursday, July 17- The KISS Tribute Band, Rock and Roll Over will perform some of the most popular hits from the 1970’s and 1980’s rock era where rockers and fans alike dressed in flamboyant outfits and black and white face paint. The Rock and Roll Over show will deliver over the top, energetic KISS performances that rock fans have come to love. Guests can expect to see KISS inspired guitars, costumes and awesome vocals by the Dallas, Texas natives.

Thursday, July 24 - Big Smo is busting on the scene all the way from Tennessee. Big Smo will perform his unique musical style of country rap music, better known as hick-hop to a much anticipated crowd. His rendition of hick-hop was described by a reviewer in this aspect: If Kid Rock and Run D.M.C had a love child; he would be named Big Smo. Smo’s debut album “Kuntry Livin” was released in 2014 on Warner Brothers Nashville and has charted on country and rap Billboards. From this album, his first single “Workin” is dubbed the boots-on-blue collar anthem. It has garned a huge internet and fan base following who Smo calls his “kinfoke.” The life of Big Smo (John Smith) is featured in the new hit TV reality series on A&E every Wednesday.

Thursday, July 31, Wayne Toups is a native of Crowley, LA. He’s famous for combining Zydeco, Cajun and R&B. These genres fused together equal “ZydeCajun.” Zydeco enthusiasts get the best of all worlds including a Cajun spicy blend of folk, rock and R&B styles. Born to a French-speaking rice farmer in Crowley, LA, Toups was reared in bayou music from boyhood. In 2010, he was inducted into The Louisiana Music Hall of Fame, and in 2011, Gulf Coast Hall of Fame and Cajun French Music Hall of Fame. Toups’ high energy performances and rocking flow has kept his audiences entertained as he’s sold out shows across the country. He was selected to sing the theme song for TV's Broken Badges series and his "Two Step Mamou" appeared on the soundtrack of the hit movie Steel Magnolias.
