The much-advertised cold front slipped through central Louisiana Thursday night with drier air in its wake.
Morning lows ranged from the middle 60s to the lower 70s. Ville Platte was the warm spot with 72 while Natchez, MS hit 64 and Jean made 65. The long-term daily average is 72.
Afternoon highs were mostly in the 80s despite ample sunshine. Natchez, MS and Jena only hit 84 while Bellwood hit 91 and Anacoco and Ball/Tioga made it up to 90 degrees. The long-term daily average is 92.
