Upon arrival, deputies contacted witnesses in the driveway who stated a subject, identified as Kelly Barton, 38, of Alexandria, was stabbing someone inside the residence.

According to RPSO, deputies forced their way into the residence, locating a male subject suffering from stab wounds to the upper chest area. The suspect had already fled the scene. A deputy rendered aid to the victim as other deputies responded to locate the suspect.
