VPSO arrests Leesville man for sexual misconduct with juvenile

VERNON PARISH, La. (KALB News Channel 5) - The Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office announces the July 1, 2014 arrest of James “Jim” Limbaugh, age 70, of Leesville.

The Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office was contacted on June 28, 2014 regarding a complaint of inappropriate sexual contact with a juvenile. 

During the course of the investigation Detectives learned that a 14 year old male alleged that James Limbaugh took him to a secluded location where Limbaugh then showed the juvenile pornographic material and touched the juvenile inappropriately, according to VPSO.

The juvenile was able to describe specific inappropriate sexual behavior by Limbaugh. The juvenile stated that he became fearful and left the vehicle walking. 

The juvenile stated that he was ultimately talked into getting back into the vehicle by Limbaugh at which time he was driven home.

VPSO said the juvenile indicated that Limbaugh advised during the drive to the juvenile’s residence that he shouldn’t tell anybody about the incident.

Detectives did interview Limbaugh at which time he did admit to inappropriate sexual behavior with the juvenile.

James Limbaugh was arrested and charged with one count of Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile and one count of Sexual Battery. Bond was set at $ 50,000.00 and Limbaugh did post bond and was released.The investigation into the matter is ongoing.
