APD arrests two in armed robbery

(KALB News Channel 5) - On July 7, 2014, Alexandria Police Department officers responded to a residence in the 500 Block of Richmond Avenue in reference to a reported robbery of an individual. The complainant/victim reported a male subject came to the residence asking for money.

During the incident, the subject produced a handgun and took some electronic items and fled on foot, according to APD. The victim was not injured.

The investigation was assigned to APD detectives who obtained evidence identifying Jimique Tison as the suspect. A warrant of arrest was issued for Jimique Tison who was taken into custody later this same evening. Further investigation resulted in Detectives arresting Jimique’s brother, Eric D. Tison II for his participation in the robbery.

Jimique Tison, 18, from Alexandria, was charged with 1ct-Armed Robbery

Eric D. Tison II, 20, from Alexandria, was charged with 1ct-Armed Robbery (Accessory after the fact)

Both men were transported to the Rapides Parish Detention Center for Booking.

Further details surrounding the robbery are still under investigation and are not being released at this time.
