The family needs help in raising the money to cover expenses for co-pay for the transplant. On July 6, Kylie missed out on an organ match due to lack of funds for air transport co-pay.
Last week, Pay It Forward Networking (PIFN), posted Kylie’s story and her wishes on the organization’s Facebook page challenging members to share her fund-raising page. Her other wishes ranging from toys to a VIP trip to the New Orleans Zoo and Aquarium were quickly granted through networking efforts of the thousands of Facebook and email followers.
“Within hours of posting Kylie’s wishes and photos, many were granted and then some! This wish for funds is a special one - it’s literally a matter of life and death and we are hopeful our members and the Central Louisiana communities will help fulfill this need. It’s always so amazing to see the generosity of strangers with each wish we post! I still can’t believe the support we have received of over 9,500 people since we began September 16, 2013.” says founder Kassi Robinson.
Pay It Forward Networking is a newly-formed, Louisiana grassroots foundation that grants wishes through networking for children with special needs, life-threatening illnesses, and/or disabilities. PIFN brings individuals together with the common goal of providing hope and dreams to children in those circumstances. A wish granted gives these recipients a day of fun and a lifetime of comfort knowing the love and generosity in the world. The wishes granted are made possible by individuals simply combining resources and using their connections for a greater cause.
