Helping Parents Avoid Dosing Mistakes With Kids Medicine

(NBC) New research suggests standardizing measurement units for children's medications will reduce the number of dosing mistakes made by parents.

The study found about 40-percent of parents made dosing errors, especially when using teaspoon or tablespoons to measure liquid medicine.

But that risk was cut in half when parents used milliliter-only units, which  has been suggested by the C-D-C and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
