ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB News Channel 5) - On July 15, 2014, the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office Metro Division assisted Louisiana Probation and Parole Agents with an investigation at the Greenbrier Motel in Alexandria.

RPSO had received several complaints of narcotics activity occurring at the motel. Joseph Richard, 45, of Alexandria, and Ray Rollins, 45, of Pineville, were found in a room and Richard, a parolee, had a syringe in his pocket, according to RPSO.

Detectives located approximately 5 grams of Methamphetamine hidden inside a flashlight in Rollin’s pocket. Detectives continued to work the investigation to identify the source of the Methamphetamine and arranged a controlled delivery at the motel.

When James Collins, 38, of Alexandria, arrived at the room, detectives identified themselves to him and he had approximately half an ounce of Methamphetamine in his possession.

Detectives contacted Donald Collins, 33, of Alexandria, in the vehicle and he was found in possession of Crack Cocaine and Marijuana.

Richard was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Parole Violation. He is currently held on a $250 bond.

Rollins was charged with Possession of CDS II to Distribute, and was released on a $10,000 bond.

James Collins was charged with Possession of CDS II to Distribute, and is being held on a $100,000 bond. It was his 71st booking.

Donald Collins was charged with Possession of CDS I/Marijuana and released on a $5,500 bond.
