GPSO arrests woman for throwing rocks, violence

GRANT PARISH, La. (KALB News Channel 5) - Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office received a report of a female standing in the middle of Parsonage Road holding a knife and throwing rocks at cars as they passed on July 17, 2014. 

GPSO reported when a deputy arrived, she dropped the knife and began yelling at the deputy stating that people owed her money. 

When the deputy approached, she swung at the deputy and began running away from him. After a brief foot pursuit, she became physically violent by fighting the deputy. 

Connie Pennington, 50 of Colfax, was arrested for Battery of a Police Officer, 2 counts of Resisting an Officer, and Disturbing the Peace.
