SYNOPSIS... Thanks to an arctic cold front that swept through Monday night into Tuesday, winter is here to stay through Thursday morning. Black ice, icy spots or slick spots can't be ruled out these next couple mornings. Thanks to a high pressure system that will be moving off to the south and southeast the next few days, things will be warming up by the weekend!

TUESDAY NIGHT... Turning bitterly cold. Lows in the low to mid teens. Clear skies. A bit breezy, north winds of 4-14 mph. Wind chills down in the single digits. Stay by the fireplace!

**Isolated power outages may occur due to icing on telephone wires Tuesday night into Wednesday morning with tumbling temperatures with wintry precipitation on the roads.**

WEDNESDAY... Cold with sunshine! Highs in the 30s. A bit breezy, with north winds of 4-14 mph.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT... Bitterly cold. Lows in the teens. Mostly clear skies. Winds subside out of the Northeast. Stay by the fireplace!

THURSDAY... Warmer than Wednesday! Highs in the 40s. Mostly sunny skies. South-southeast winds of 2-12 mph.
