Central Louisiana Forecast

SYNOPSIS...A high pressure cell aloft centered over northeast TX will continue to dominate our weather pattern Wednesday. By Thursday, the high moves a bit to the west and this will allow an increase in rain chances.

THIS EVENING...Partly cloudy with a stray (10%) shower or t-storm possible. Temps will fall into the lower 80s by 10PM. E/SE wind 3-8 mph.

OVERNIGHT...Mostly fair and muggy. Lows 72-78. Light wind.

WEDNESDAY...Partly cloudy with oppressive heat. Highs 95-101. The peak heat index may reach 110. A variable wind 3-8 mph. There remains a 20% chance of PM showers and t-storms.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT...Partly cloudy and muggy. A stray shower or t-storm may linger. Lows 73-79. A light and variable wind.

THURSDAY...Partly cloudy to mostly cloudy with scattered (50%) showers and t-storms. A few storms may be strong with frequent lightning and strong wind. The heat will remain oppressive prior to the storms and for locations where it does not rain. Highs will reach 95-101 with peak heat indices of 112 possible. A variable wind.
