Central Louisiana Forecast

SYNOPSIS... A cold front to the north will slowly drift into northern Louisiana. Southerly winds will inject ample moisture into the region to aid in the development of showers and thundershowers throughout our holiday weekend, especially during the hottest part of the day. Be aware of dangerous lightning and gusting winds adjacent to storms.

TODAY...In and out cloudiness with highs in the lower 90's. 20% chance of rain, winds from the south to 10.

SATURDAY...40% chance of showers or thundershowers. Partly to mostly cloudy skies with clouds increasing by the afternoon. Isolated strong storms are possible that could linger into the late evening hours. Highs in the lower 90's, southwest winds to 10.

SUNDAY...30% chance of a late afternoon shower or thundershower. Moisture continues to stream in from the south riding in on a light wind from the Gulf of Mexico.
