Central Louisiana Forecast

SYNOPSIS...Drier air is still overhead, but moisture is starting to creep back in. Hot temperatures will persist across the area through the week upcoming as upper-level high pressure stays positioned across the southeast. A piece of energy will move over Tuesday and Wednesday, which could ignite isolated showers and thunderstorms. The high pressure will build stronger by the end of the week and into the weekend, which could lead to temperatures getting close to 100 degrees.

TONIGHT...Mostly clear. Pleasantly cool. Lows 66-70. Variable winds turning southerly late.

MONDAY...Partly cloudy. Warm. Highs 96-100. South winds 2-10 mph.
