SYNOPSIS...A ridge of high pressure aloft continues over the southern Plains. This feature will shift eastward a bit through Thursday. That means a slow rise in temps and little rain.

TONIGHT...Mostly fair and muggy. Lows 72-78. Calm wind late.

WEDNESDAY...Partly cloudy, hot, and humid. Highs 93-99 with the peak heat index reaching 107. SW wind 5-12 mph. There is a 20% chance of showers and t-storms during the PM hours.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT...Fair sky and muggy. Lows 72-78. S/SW wind 3-8 mph.

THURSDAY...Partly cloudy and continued hot and humid. Highs 94-100 with the peak heat index reaching 108. SW wind 8-16 mph. There remains a 20% chance of showers and t-storms.
