Central Louisiana Forecast

SYNOPSIS...Spring has sprung, at least until a strong cold front blasts through central Louisiana Wednesday evening.

TONIGHT...Mostly cloudy and very warm with lows in the 60s. South wind 4-10 mph. A stray sprinkles remains possible.

WEDNESDAY...Mostly cloudy, breezy, and very warm. Highs 75-80. S/SW wind 10-22 mph. Scattered (50%) rain.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT...Overcast with a strong cold frontal passage during the evening. Off/on rain and a few thunderstorms. Turning much colder with a rapid drop in temperature. Lows 28-34. Light freezing rain and light sleet are possible in northern parishes late.

THURSDAY MORNING...Overcast, windy, and very cold with off/on light rain, possibly mixed with freezing rain and light sleet along and north of a Leesville-Alexandria line. Wind chill in the upper teens.

THURSDAY AFTERNOON...Mostly cloudy and cold with precipitation ending. Highs in the mid and upper 30s. N/NE wind decreasing to 10-22 mph late.
