SYNOPSIS...An upper-level low over the northern Gulf of Mexico will move toward central Louisiana during the next two days. This feature will tap the available moisture and produce scattered showers and t-storms.
THIS EVENING...Partly cloudy with a few (20%) showers and t-storms. Temps will be near 80 degrees by 10 PM. ESE wind 2-6 mph but stronger and variable near storms.
OVERNIGHT...Fair to partly cloudy with seasonal temps. Lows 72-76. Little or no wind.
TUESDAY...Patchy early fog, otherwise partly cloudy with a 30% chance of showers and t-storms. Highs 91-97 with the peak heat index reaching 99-109 degrees. A variable wind may be gusty near storms.
TUESDAY NIGHT...Mostly fair sky with seasonal temps. Lows 71-75. Little or no wind.
WEDNESDAY...Patchy early fog, otherwise clouds mixing with sunshine and a 30% chance of showers and t-storms. Highs 90-96 with the peak heat index reaching 98-108. A variable wind may be gusty near storms.
