Central Louisiana Forecast

SYNOPSIS...Another warm and muggy day is in store until a cold front pushes through overnight. Behind the front, temperatures will drop into the 30s, and will bring a possibility of a freezing rain and sleet mix in northern portions of Central Louisiana.

WEDNESDAY...Cloudy, warm, and humid. Highs 75-80. S wind 2-12 mph. A 50% chance of scattered rain during the day.

TONIGHT...Overcast with a strong cold frontal passage during the evening. An 80% chance of scattered showers and a few thunderstorms. Turning much colder with a rapid drop in temperature. Lows 28-34. Light freezing rain and light sleet are possible in northern parishes late. North wind 5-25 mph.

THURSDAY MORNING...Overcast, windy, and very cold with off/on light rain, possibly mixed with freezing rain and light sleet along and north of a Leesville-Alexandria line. Wind chill in the upper teens.

THURSDAY AFTERNOON...Mostly cloudy and cold with precipitation ending. Highs 34-38. Northeast wind 10-20 mph.

THURSDAY NIGHT... Clearing conditions and partly cloudy skies. Lows 21-27. North wind 10-20 mph.

FRIDAY...Mostly sunny and chilly. Highs 40-45. North wind 5-10 mph.
