SUNDAY NIGHT...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NEW ORLEANS HAS ISSUED A HEAT
ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM SUNDAY TO MIDNIGHT CDT
SUNDAY NIGHT. THE EXCESSIVE HEAT WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

* TEMPERATURE...MID 90S TODAY WITH HEAT INDICES NEAR 105...MID 70S
TONIGHT...UPPER 90S SUNDAY WITH HEAT INDICES 105 TO 110.

* DURATION...THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH SUNDAY EVENING.

* IMPACTS...BY SUNDAY AFTERNOON THE CUMULATIVE EFFECTS FROM
PROLONGED EXPOSURE TO HOT AND HUMID TEMPERATURES CAN PRODUCE
STRESS ON PERSONS THAT DO NOT TAKE PRECAUTIONS AGAINST THE
HEAT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

DO NOT LEAVE CHILDREN OR PETS UNATTENDED IN A PARKED VEHICLE.
INTERNAL TEMPERATURES CAN RISE TO 130 DEGREES IN A MATTER OF
MINUTES AND BECOME FATAL.

A HEAT ADVISORY MEANS THAT A PERIOD OF HOT TEMPERATURES IS
EXPECTED. THE COMBINATION OF HOT TEMPERATURES AND HIGH HUMIDITY
WILL COMBINE TO CREATE A SITUATION IN WHICH HEAT ILLNESSES ARE
POSSIBLE. DRINK PLENTY OF FLUIDS...STAY IN AN AIR-CONDITIONED
ROOM...STAY OUT OF THE SUN...AND CHECK UP ON RELATIVES AND
NEIGHBORS.

Humidity will stick around and make afternoon temperatures feel like they are around 105-110 degrees. Little to no rain is expected.Expect plenty of sunshine. Highs 94-100. South / West wind at 2-12mph.
 
SATURDAY NIGHT... Fair to partly cloudy, with a muggy feel. Lows 72-78. No rain expected. Winds from the south and southwest at 1-8 mph.
