Central Louisiana Forecast

SYNOPSIS...A trough is dipping down from the Tennessee River Valley and is igniting showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. Some of these storms could be strong, producing gusty winds and frequent cloud-to-ground lightning. Activity may last through the evening hours before tapering off later tonight. Another round of showers and storms can be expected tomorrow afternoon. Thereafter, high pressure will build in from the east, which will lower rain chances and bring up temperatures.

TONIGHT...Mostly cloudy. Evening showers and thunderstorms possible. Lows 71-75. South winds 2-8 mph. Chance of rain 40%.

SUNDAY...Broken clouds. Afternoon showers and thunderstorms possible. Highs 88-92. Southwest winds 4-12 mph. Chance of rain 50%.

SUNDAY NIGHT...Partly cloudy. An evening shower is possible. Lows 73-77. South winds 2-8 mph. Chance of rain 20%.

MONDAY...Partly cloudy. Warmer. Highs 90-94. South winds 6-14 mph.
