ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) - The LSUA Generals took care of business without being fully healthy beating Huston-Tillotson 89-75 to advance to the semifinals round of the RRAC Tournament.

Generals’ Head Coach Larry Cordaro said very few players practiced the week leading up to the conference tournament due to illness.

The Generals were able to overcome an early deficit against the Rams and took a 40-30 lead into the half.

The Purple and Gold shot well from the floor as they hit 46 percent of their shots including 41 percent from three.

They also dominated the Rams down low outrebounding them 50-42 and scored 42 of their 89 points in the paint.

The Generals defense held the Rams to under 40 percent from the field and caused 14 turnovers.

LSUA will look to keep things rolling in the semifinal round against LSUS.
