CATUNA, La. (KSLA) - Nearly all residents can now return to their homes following an explosion in Catuna on Monday (June 27) morning.

Catuna Road residents may not return to their homes at this time. Crews are working to clear the roadway and prepare it for traffic.

The site where the explosion took place has been shut in and under control, says a post by DeSoto Parish Sheriff’s Office. It is believed to be a possible pipeline explosion.

Hazmat, EMS, fire and deputies responded to the scene. The cause of the explosion remains under investigation.
