2 arrested after escaping from DC-1 jail facility in Marksville

AVOYELLES PARISH, La. (KALB) - The Avoyelles Parish Sheriff’s Office said two inmates who escaped from the DC-1 jail facility in Marksville on October 23 have been captured.
APSO said Desmond Harmon, 25, of Kinder, and Edgar Spikes, 20, of DeRidder, managed to break a small hole into the ceiling of a cell to access the attic.
The sheriff’s office and the Louisiana Department of Corrections Chase Team as well as other local agencies responded to the search. Deputies also used K9s.
