NPD reports homicide investigation off of Texas Street
NATCHITOCHES, La. (KALB) - The Natchitoches Police Department reported on Sunday, March 17, that they were investigating a homicide which occurred early that morning off of Texas Street.
Authorities reportedly responded to the intersection of Texas Street and 6th Street in reference to a gunshot victim. Upon arrival, officers said they discovered Deon Coleman, 23, of Natchitoches, suffering from a gunshot wound.
Coleman was pronounced dead as a result of his injuries.
NPD said they will release more details on the incident as they become available.
This investigation is ongoing.
