ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) - Alexandria Police have arrested the final suspect, wanted for 32 burglaries at two apartment complexes, almost two weeks ago.
Cartier Green (left) was arrested in connection to recent vehicle burglaries in Alexandria. Kennedy Green (right) is wanted in the case as well.
A patrol shift spotted Kennedy Green, 19, walking on Mansour Avenue at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. They took him into custody. He faces 32 counts of simple burglary and has three existing warrants through city court for contempt of court, and one through RPSO for contempt of court.
Two 17-year-olds, along with Cartier Green, 19, were also charged with 32 counts of simple burglary, as well as some additional burglary charges from Pineville Police.
The burglaries happened on Sunday at Pecan Grove and Walden Point apartments. A witness told police he saw four teens in a damaged black Honda flee the scene.
When police spotted the vehicle, Pineville police were contacted since the suspects fit a description on a case they were working on as well.
The suspects were picked up and brought to APD headquarters. Once there, police received permission to look through their phones and found photos linking them to the crimes.
APD Chief Jarrod King said he wanted to thank everyone on Patrol Shift Alpha who located Green, and the detectives who worked on the case.
