Every Monday and Thursday from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m., students from LSEC will go to the airport to assist in guest relations.

The students will answer frequently asked questions about baggage claim, parking, and flight information.

The purpose behind this program is to build community-based training so that when the students graduate and move on to independent living, they will have vocational skills.

Michael Starks, a LSEC student, said his favorite part of the program is meeting new people.

"I always look forward to meeting and greeting people and getting to know different people while they sit around in the lounge and hear different stories,” Starks explained. I get to meet the veterans, I hear different stories, so it’s great"

The event coordinator says, going further he would love to see other businesses join and take on the program with LSEC.
